Independent Financial Advisor (IFA)
Is it for me?
  • You are a businessperson or a professional with good network and resources and can set your own office space.
  • You must be well networked and have the capability to go independent without the need to commit any capital.
  • You are an existing Authorised Person or have a rich experience of selling financial products. You require financial support without compromising on the independence and can set up an office.
  • You have a good network, are sales oriented and want to work for yourself and have full flexibility.
Eligibility
  • Individual, Company or Partnership Firm with a good reputation and track record in financial services/ other business; or have a minimum 2 years work experience working in selling financial products, or
  • Must either hold a professional qualification of degree like MBA, CFA, CA, CS or be a businessman with relevant experience
  • Must meet all the requirement and adhere to rules, regulations and Bye Laws applicable for an Authorised Person (AP) including:
    • Valid NCFM Certifications
    • Understanding of the bye-laws of the stock exchanges, commodity exchanges, SEBI and, FMC
  • Individual with min 2 years work experience in selling financial products, or
  • Must either hold a professional qualification of degree like MBA, CFA, CA, CS or be a businessman with relevant experience
  • Must meet all the requirement and adhere to rules, regulations and Bye Laws applicable for an Authorised Person (AP) including:

  • Existing sub broker / business associate / direct sales associates / member of regional stock exchanges with min 4 years of experience, or
  • Own / Have rental space with a good network of retail, HNI and corporate clients, or
  • An MBA, CA, CFA, company secretary, MF distributor, financial planner, insurance advisor or you are into any other profession / business / service but want to start your own business
  • Must meet all the requirement and adhere to rules, regulations and Bye Laws applicable for an Authorised Person (AP) including:
    • Valid NCFM Certification
    • Understanding of the bye-laws of the stock exchanges, commodity exchanges, SEBI and, FMC
  • Prior experience in selling financial products as a sub-broker, remiser, IFA, mutual fund distributor, insurance advisor, financial planner, or worked with a stock broker, mutual fund company or bank or have the drive to start on own.
  • NISM Certificate
  • Good sales and presentation skills
  • Have a clean track record of working in the financial services industry / other business/ social circle and have a good client base
Capital Requirement
  • Rs 50,000 per segment
  • Rs 50,000 per segment

Infrastructure Requirement
  • Minimum office space requirement of 250 sq feet or above preferably at a prime location
  • Workstation with fast speed broadband line or VSAT connectivity required to set up a trading terminal and back office software
  • Atleast two telephone lines with voice logger, good quality printer, scanner and photocopier
  • Air conditioner , availability of filtered drinking water and refreshments for clients
  • Having own staff (at least 2)
